Maria-Teresa Lima-Mas (Teresa), Hygenist
I was born and educated in Cuba . While attending Catholic school there I learned English, French, and Italian. Like many others I left Cuba and came to the United States in 1961. I then attended Barry University where I received an A.A. degree in teaching Spanish, graduating with high honors. I taught in an elementary school in Miami for several years and then moved to Texas . I trained as a dental assistant there and participated in research involving fluoride and mouth rinses.
I joyfully became a U.S. Citizen in 1969. In 1974 I moved back to Florida and received a dental hygiene degree and an A.A. with honors. I have happily spent the last 23 wonderful years of my career at the Flamingo Dental Group. I am proud to be able to treat many patients with special needs who have been with me throughout the years. I enjoy working on children and they actually look forward to their visits. I truly enjoy working in a wonderful office with highly qualified staff in a warm and family-like atmosphere.
I am a proud Cuban of strong Catholic faith. I have two beautiful daughters, Ana-Maria and Marite-Nicole, four grandchildren, and four step-grandchildren, all whom I love dearly….let me show you their pictures!!!! My hobbies include Arts & Crafts, walking, charity work, travelling, babysitting my grandchildren and I was also born to SHOP!
