Rosie Suarez, R.D.H.
"I have been in dentistry for over twenty years. I started working part time as a dental assistant right out of high school, while taking college credits. I really enjoyed this line of work-- being around people and helping and educating others-- so I decided, to make dental hygiene my career. I attended Miami-Dade Dental Hygiene Program and graduated with honors.
I joined Flamingo Dental Group in 1995. On my first interview with Dr. Shofnos, he emphasized that this was a family practice, and he quoted, “with a capital F ”. He was looking for someone to treat his patients with the respect and care they deserve. At that moment I know this was the type of practice I was looking for. I have been a part of this family ever since. What I respect most about the doctors I work for, is their honesty and their ability to care for their employees as well as their patients. I feel that I am respected on a professional and personal level, and my opinion and input are always welcomed. Before I came to this office, I had the opportunity to work at other practices, and I can honestly say that none have made me feel more welcomed and at home then Flamingo Dental. We are indeed one big family.
On a personal note, I have been happily married for sixteen years, and the proud mother of two beautiful girls. In my spare time I volunteer at my daughter's school and I am also involved with fundraisers for their dance studio. I enjoy bike riding with my family, salsa dancing, photography, and I'm a frustrated Martha Stewart, well not the criminal side."
